Job Summary

NEXGEN Asset Management is seeking an entry-level Water/Wastewater Engineer in our Sacramento CA office. The position focuses on water and wastewater treatment projects from planning design construction and O&M assessments.

Youll work alongside a collaborative and dynamic team of professionals that are truly passionate about our work. We train you to become a well-rounded consultant an expert in your field and a professional licensed engineer.

Responsibilities

Work on engineering planning and design projects
Preparation of technical memoranda and reports
Perform engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure
Prepare permits in support of the designs
Develop plans and specifications
System modeling
Data entry and analysis
Provide engineering services during construction
Participate in field activities
Prepare Maintenance and Capital Improvement Plans using NEXGENs Industry Leading EAM Software.

Qualifications

Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and associated coursework in physical chemical and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design
0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
Application of engineering principles including critical thinking analysis and innovative techniques
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Engineer-in-Training Certification
Work well in a team environment
Highly motivated articulate and self-starting

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with computer applications including Excel Word Bluebeam Sketchup and use of AI tools to support project work

Compensation Range
$80000 to $90000 annually. An employees pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including but limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority performance and business or organizational needs.
