SUMMARY
Ensures that district premises are safe and secure. Responds to all incoming security calls according to established policies and procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree from an accredited university/college in any area and four years of experience in law enforcement juvenile or criminal investigation and/or security.
OR
Seven (7) years of experience in law enforcement juvenile or criminal investigation and/or security.
Three (3) Years of supervisory experience.
One (1) year experience using and/or operating 2-way radios is required including the use of law enforcement 10 codes and Uniformed Crime Classification codes.
Must be qualified willing and able to carry and use all security weapons to include a firearm.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
This position is regularly scheduled to work holidays weekends and rotating shifts. Must have a reliable means to be contacted when off duty.
Training in FEMA Incident Command Structure (ICS) 100 and 200.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work occasional overtime and/or extended duty hours due to the need to cover large scale security emergency or other unforeseen events.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.
CPR and First Aid Certification.
Must hold a current Arizona Drivers license and have accrued no more than the allowable points against Drivers License as described underGoverning Board Policy: EEB-R-1Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.
Physical Examination and Post-offer/pre-employment 50 Lb lift test andADOT (Arizona Dept. of Transportation) Medical Certificateto be done by one of the clinics with which the District contracts and sign a Medical History form.
