About the Role

Were looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in frontend and mobile application development to build and evolve high-quality web and mobile experiences. This role has a strong focus on ReactJS NextJS and React Native while working closely with backend engineers through NodeJS and GraphQL APIs.

As a senior individual contributor youll take ownership of frontend and mobile delivery contribute to architectural decisions and help uplift engineering standards across the team. While this is not a people-management role technical leadership mentoring and ownership are key expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design build and maintain scalable performant and accessible web and mobile interfaces using ReactJS NextJS and React Native.
• Take ownership of frontend and mobile architecture decisions including state management performance optimisation and component strategy.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers to design and integrate NodeJS GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Build and maintain reusable components and shared design systems.
• Ensure best practices across testing accessibility (WCAG) SEO and security.
• Lead mobile app delivery across iOS and Android including build release and ongoing updates.
• Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines build automation and deployment processes.
• Participate in and lead code reviews providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
• Work closely with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into well-engineered solutions.
• Identify diagnose and resolve performance and reliability issues across platforms.
• Champion continuous improvement in engineering standards tooling and workflows.

Skills & Experience

• 5 years professional experience as a Software Engineer with a strong frontend focus.
• Advanced experience with ReactJS NextJS and React Native in production environments.
• Solid backend integration experience using NodeJS GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Working knowledge of SQL and PHP (or similar backend technologies).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines build automation and containerisation (e.g. GitHub Actions Docker).
• Strong testing practices using Jest Cypress React Testing Library or equivalent.
• Experience managing mobile app deployments to the App Store and Google Play.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles responsive design and accessibility standards.
• Comfortable making technical trade-offs and communicating decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Strong experience with TypeScript across web and mobile codebases.
• Familiarity with Expo or advanced React Native tooling.
• Experience with GraphQL subscriptions or real-time data.
• Experience contributing to or owning design systems.
• Mobile CI/CD tooling experience (Fastlane Bitrise App Center).
• Experience with monitoring and analytics tools (Firebase Sentry Amplitude).
• Previous experience acting as a domain owner for frontend or mobile platforms.
