Metrolinxs GO Expansion program is delivering more GO service across the network including the capacity to deliver two-way service every 15 minutes or better on core routes. Work is already underway on new track station renovations and infrastructure upgrades on parts of the Lakeshore Stouffville Kitchener and Barrie lines. The investment will generate thousands of new jobs and economic opportunities across the region. The ONxpress Civil Joint Venture is comprised of Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc. and FCC Canada Ltd. This multidisciplinary team leads the delivery of civil and track works leveraging global expertise to introduce innovative solutions across the GO Transit network.
WhatYoullDo Here:
CoordinateConsultant and supply chain Information Models and Delivery Plans to support the development of federated models and against agreed deliverables to ensure supply chain IDD deliverables.
Supportthe IDD Director/ IDD Manager or project BIMleadto ensure the correct activities are assigned to the consultant supply chains Information Managers.
ProvideCoordination reports of the interfaces between engineering disciplines / design and construction / temporary and permanent works design activities through the IDD process.
Coordinate with Project Managers and Construction Managers to develop a project specific process forutilizingor creating 3D information for estimatinglogistics planning scheduling coordination field layout and/orfacilitatesmanagement.
Reviewcoordinateand manage the creation of Project Information Models.
Project deployment duties include installing software organizingmaintainingand setting up CAD exchange environments basic training & support for project team coordinationassistance file conversions and documenting process and solutions for reuse.
Champion 3D coordination on active jobsite act as liaison with project teamconsultantsand subcontractors tofacilitateprocessandmaintainMaster Project BIM database.
Collaborate with the Scheduling department to build and maintain 4D scheduling modelIspreferred as a nice to have.
Identifyopportunities and recommend solutions that will enhance or improve processes.
WhatYoullBring to the Team:
Experience indevelopingandmaintainingcontentlibraries (Revit families and materials)specific to buildings such as station maintenance buildings
Experience inmappingcontent library elements to designor Project Agreement requirements
Experience designing stations andormaintenance facilities / layover yards
Experience with leading coordination meetings and following up with identified issues untiltheyreclosed
Experience with auditing Revit models against design requirements and approved modelling guidelines
Educational and Industry experience requirements include Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training plus experience/knowledge of Civil Construction practice.
Proficiencywith model federation platforms such asAssemble Systems Navisworks andBentley Navigator.ACC Model coordination module
Proficiencyin BIM authoring tools such as REVIT AutoCAD Civil 3D..
Knowledge ofACCasCommon Data Environments such asProjectWiseandAconex.
Detailed understanding of corporate and industry practices processesstandardsetc. and their impact on project activities is vital.
Working knowledge of EHS regulations.
Experience across all stages of a project lifecyclewould be desirable.
Experience ofworking within construction project environments would be desirable.
