Currently this position is located in our project office in Sydney CBD with occasional site visits. Once the project is fully operational it will transition to a 14/7 roster-based arrangement out of the Central West Orana Region.

ACEREZ a partnership of ACCIONA COBRA and Endeavour Energy has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design build finance operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV) the design and construct (D&C) consortium will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.

The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

Our Central-West Orana project is currently seeking a dedicatedArea Managerto share their expertise within our growing Transmission Lines team. You will be responsible for overseeing a scope of activities related to the structural assembly and erection of transmission tower structures for this high-voltage transmission line project.

This role ensures that construction activities are executed safely efficiently and in compliance with project specifications industry standards and company policies. The Area Manager will lead a team of tower erectors riggers and subcontractors ensuring that all work is completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Environmental and Safety Management Ensures integration of quality environmental and safety procedures including compliance with WH&S regulations defect resolution and promoting a culture of safety among project teams subcontractors and suppliers.

• Project Safety Oversight Implements and enforces the Project Safety Plan monitors high-risk activities investigates incidents and liaises with safety authorities to maintain a safe working environment.

• Construction Supervision Manages transmission line construction activities ensuring work aligns with schedules budgets and technical specifications while coordinating teams and resolving on-site issues.

• Operational Coordination Oversees foundation works tower erection and conductor stringing ensuring adherence to design criteria and best practices while leading site teams and subcontractors.

• Resource Management Ensures efficient allocation of manpower equipment and materials coordinating logistics to prevent project delays and optimizing supply chain operations.

• Scheduling and Reporting Monitors project progress maintains schedules prepares status reports and resolves project challenges to meet deadlines and milestones.

• Financial Accountability Manages project budgets monitors financial performance and ensures profitability through accurate cost forecasting and strategic financial planning.

• Contract and Compliance Management Ensures adherence to contract requirements negotiates subcontractor agreements and collaborates with commercial managers on legal and administrative aspects.

• Design and Performance Management Oversees project design development monitors consultant performance conducts site meetings and fosters staff training to enhance operational efficiency.

• Preferable 10 years experience in a construction/engineering environment

• Bachelordegree in Engineer

• Experience working inhigh-voltage transmission projects (330 kV and above) is an advantage

• Expertise infoundation construction tower erection and conductor stringing

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others

• Presented problem solving / analytical skills

• Demonstrated relevant leadership skills

• Ensuring all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfied

• Competent in planning and organising work schedules

• Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same
