About the role
The CollectionProject Officer willassistwith a range of Collection Management activities including the appraisal cataloguingand migration of digital media.
You willassist with coordination and logistics activities related to the Digital News Library (DNL) migration project. Taskswill includethe migration ofselecteddigitalmaterial enrichingmetadata records maintainingaccurate records in accordance withABCcataloguing standardsvalidatingdataand/or correcting inaccuraciesand preparingdisposal lists ofmigratedmedia.

About You
With sound knowledge of archival principles and the ability to apply that knowledge over a variety of broadcast media formats and records you will also have experience in the use of Collection Management database systems and the ability to apply cataloguing standards and principles across a range of resources and systems with a strong level of accuracy. You will be a good problem-solver have sound time management skills with the ability toprioritisework effectively and deliver to tight deadlines.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Library/Archives/Preservation or equivalent skillsknowledgeand experience in the delivery of Collection Management services will be highly regarded.
About ABC Product & Technology:
The Product & Technology (P&T) divisionis responsible fordelivering the technology and services that enable the ABC to fulfil its creative strategic and business goals. The scope of activities and responsibilities of the P&T division range from keeping ABC programs and services on-air and on-line to delivering on key projects as well asassistingin setting the technology strategy and architecture for the ABC.
