The opportunity
We are seeking a Fund Accountant to join our Finance Team specifically within the Fund Accounting function. This role is integral to the daily operations of our managed investment schemes and managed accounts ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance across 15 Netwealth MIS Funds and 2 Managed Account Schemes.
Key Responsibilities include;
Carrying out and reviewing daily unit pricing calculations for Netwealth MIS Funds.
Preparing month-end accounts and maintaining accurate investment registers.
Conducting monthly quarterly and annual distribution calculations and preparing Managed Account quarterly reports.
Preparing year-end financial statements for 17 Netwealth Funds and managing audit queries.
Maintaining up-to-date procedures and driving process improvements.
Supporting Fund Operations and participating in ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives.
About you
Were looking for someone who is proactive detail-oriented and passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes. You will have:
A tertiary qualification in Accounting Commerce or any related bachelor.
A CA or CPA or be currently studying towards it.
A minimum of two to three years experience in a similar fund accounting role ideally with exposure to fund manager-specific fund accounting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel capability as our models sit in Excel.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
A curious mindset striving to approach and resolve problems diligently and proactively.
A bright positive and personable attitude bringing energy and collaboration to the team.
A drive to innovate and improve processes for greater efficiency and better outcomes.
