Job Summary

LabCorp is seeking a per Diem Medical Transcriptionist to join our team in Syracuse NY. This role works in a high volume production-based environment performing a vital component of anatomic pathology lab science.

Schedule: Per diem; (Monday-Friday 1-2 hours per day)

**Pay Range: $17.75 to $23.43 per hour

All job offers will bebased on a candidates skills and prior relevant experience applicabledegrees/certificationsas well as internal equity and market data.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Transcribe gross and microscopic descriptions on surgical pathology cases comprised of moderately difficult medical terminology.
Accurate and timely data entry of dictated and/or handwritten pathology cases into the laboratory information system
Provides complete and accurate resolution to all user inquiries or redirects inquirer to appropriate resource(s) in a timely manner
Identifies problems determines and provides/implements appropriate corrective action/accurate solutions
Researches troubleshoots and follows-up to ensure all inquiries/problems are resolved in a timely manner

Requirements:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous Pathology transcription experienced a plus
Experience with transcriptionist software is preferred
Excellent data entry and typing skills
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
High level of attention to details
Proficient in Microsoft Office
