About the Role:

We are seeking a Litigation Associate with 3 5 years of experience to join our busy and growing medical malpractice defense practice.

This role offers hands-on litigation experience including motion practice discovery management depositions court appearances and trial preparation. You will work closely with experienced litigators while also managing your own caseload with increasing autonomy.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented analytical and proactive - someone who takes ownership of assignments and thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle all phases of medical malpractice defense litigation
• Conduct legal research and draft high-quality motions briefs and pleadings
• Analyze complex medical and legal issues
• Manage discovery including drafting and responding to written discovery
• Prepare for and participate in depositions hearings and trials
• Maintain strong organization across multiple active matters
• Communicate effectively with clients experts and colleagues
• Exercise sound judgment and initiative in case strategy and management

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois State Bar license
• 3 5 years of litigation experience
• Strong research writing and oral advocacy skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
• Experience analyzing complex legal issues and producing high-quality work
• Independent work ethic combined with strong initiative
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
