Job Summary

General Description

The Seminole County Sheriffs Office is now accepting applications for the position ofINVESTIGATIVE ANALYST SCHOOL SAFETY.

This position provides administrative logistical and operational support to ensure effective implementation of the districts threat assessment and management programs. This position supports the District Threat Management Coordinator (DTMC)in collecting and organizing data maintaining confidential records coordinating communications among district and school-based teams and assisting with prevention intervention and post-incident response activities.

Salary is negotiable based upon related training education and experience.

Administrative Support
  • Assist in meetings with documentation for the DTMC.
  • Prepare edit and distribute confidential reports correspondence and presentations related to threat management and school safety.
  • Assist in maintaining databases logs and files pertaining to threat assessments interventions and case management.
  • Track and compile statistical data for district and state-level reporting.

Technology and Microsoft Office Expertise
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) to prepare reports track data and support meetings.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets charts and dashboards for case tracking and performance metrics.
  • Utilize Microsoft Teams and SharePoint to support collaboration and secure document management.
  • Support virtual meetings and trainings through Teams Zoom or similar platforms.

Threat Assessment Coordination
  • Assist in the coordination of school-level threat assessment teams and ensure timely communication of updates and outcomes.
  • Assist in monitoring case progress and follow-up actions under the direction of the Threat Management Coordinator.

Training and Communication
  • Schedule and assist with districtwide training on threat assessment protocols crisis response and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate logistics for professional development sessions including materials registrations and technology setup.

Confidentiality and Compliance
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and in compliance with FERPA HIPAA district and SCSO policies.
  • Support the Coordinator in ensuring adherence to district threat assessment protocols laws and best practices.

General Support
  • Assist with emergency response coordination and district safety initiatives as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned by the District Threat Management Coordinator or School Safety leadership team.

Other Necessary Requirements
  • Must complete Florida Model Day 1 and Day 2 training within the first 60 days of hire.
  • Must complete DOE Trainer Florida Model Training within the first year of hire.

A certified examiner administers the CVSA with questions addressing illegal drug use and general questions of honesty and criminal history. The background investigation process may take 3-6 months depending upon the complexity of the applicants background and position for which youve applied. Applicants selected for employment will be provided a conditional offer and required to submit to a medical examination with drug screening.

Candidates must also comply with the Agencys current Tattoo and Body Ornamentation Policy. A copy ofGeneral Order 28 - Dress and Appearance can be accessed here. An applicants tattoos and body ornamentation must be disclosed at the time of application and will be documented as part of the agencys review process even if otherwise meeting the Agencys policy.
