Medical Laboratory Technologist Flow Cytometry

• Responsible for day-to-day receipt processing and interpretation of samples submitted for Flow Cytometry testing
• Responsible for troubleshooting testing order inconsistencies with SOP
• Works directly with the Charge Technologist for Flow Cytometry and Hematopathologist 
• Assists in referred-out testing for Flow Cytometry as required
• Assists with monitoring inventory not limited to supply levels receiving stock and lot controls
• Works with the Charge Technologist to assist with validation of new processes and procedures and related SOPs
• Responsible for QC activities and documentation for Flow Cytometry as required by the Charge Technologist

• Current general registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario required
• Recent clinical experience of 3-5 years in Flow Cytometry including sample preparation and analysis
• Must be proficient in all aspects of manual and automated specimen preparation
• Must be proficient in pipetting and production of manual antibody cocktails
• Must be proficient in all aspects of analysis software for sample acquisition and analysis of multi-colour data
• Must be proficient with lot validation and all aspects of QC including voltage and compensation
• Experience in routine lab equipment not limited to centrifuges BSC Fumehood and vortex
• Must be aware and adhere to all required lab safety protocols
• Ability to work effectively as a collaborative member of a team
• A positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be able to read write speak and understand English
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
• Good employment and attendance record required

Additional Information :

Status: Permanent Full-time

Hours: Monday to Friday - Various rotating 7.5 hour day shifts (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)

Salary: $37.930 o $51.763 per hour
