Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Surgery Unit
Sentara Leigh Hospital - Norfolk VA
- $65.00/hr pay rate
- Temporary Full Time
- 14-week assignment
- DAY shift
- No benefits
Education:
- Associates Bachelors Masters or diploma in the Nursing Field required
Certification/Licensure:
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale
Experience:
- Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.
Department Overview:
This is a 24-bed blended observation/med-surg unit. RN to patient ratio is 1:6. We usually have around 50% Observation/50% Inpatient. Many of our patients are here for syncope/stroke cardiac/chest pain AMS/UTI & COPD.

Along with being a recognized accredited Primary Stroke Center and Magnet hospital for nursing excellence we also specialize in orthopedic and spine care heart vascular maternity care and general surgery. We are also home to the regions only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program that helps speed up the healing of carbon monoxide poisoning wounds that wont heal infections in which tissues are starved for oxygen airborne chemical exposures and scuba diving accidents.
