About the Role

As Teacher of Biology you will teach across KS3KS5 with a strong focus on GCSE and A-Level. You will deliver engaging well-structured lessons that develop deep scientific understanding strong practical competence and confident exam technique.

You will deliver lessons that:

• Build secure understanding of core Biology concepts and scientific thinking

• Develop confident practical skills and safe laboratory routines

• Strengthen data handling evaluation and application of knowledge

• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level through modelling deliberate practice and precise feedback

• Encourage intellectual curiosity through enrichment wider reading and contemporary scientific context

There is scope to contribute to extension and enrichment such as biology clubs Olympiad-style preparation STEM events lecture series or university pathway support.

Experience and Qualifications

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a degree in Biology or a closely related subject

• Hold QTS (e.g. PGCE School Direct) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have the ability to teach Biology confidently to GCSE and A-Level

• Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to academic standards

• Deliver engaging well-structured lessons that stretch and support students

• Contribute positively to departmental planning and wider college life

• Have the legal right to work in the UK
