Material Handler

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Material Handler to join our team in Grande Prairie Canada. As a Material Handler you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations ensuring the smooth flow of materials and maintaining accurate inventory levels. This position requires a strong commitment to safety excellent organizational skills and a customer-focused approach.

• Pick pack and ship customer orders with a high level of accuracy
• Receive count and verify incoming materials from vendors and customer returns
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
• Identify and report any inventory discrepancies or damaged materials
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations
• Assist in servicing customers at the counter when needed
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures
• Complete necessary documentation for shipments including Transportation of Dangerous Goods paperwork when required
• Perform cycle counts and participate in inventory management activities
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or concerns

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in basic math and computer skills
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items regularly
• Valid drivers license and ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Safety-conscious mindset and commitment to following all safety protocols
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workloads
• Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management principles
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in warehouse or material handling roles
• Familiarity with HVAC and building products
• Experience using warehouse management systems (e.g. M3) and Microsoft Office suite (Word Excel Outlook)
