Job Summary
Cannon Automotivea division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Material Handler in our Windsor Ontario Stamping Facility. The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior Material Handling experience be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:
- Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping receiving inspecting storing issuing and delivering a variety of materials equipment and supplies
- Counts weight or measures incoming/outgoing items comparing information against bills of lading invoices orders or other identifying records
- Ensure product meets standards is not damaged or there are no shortages and communicates with the shipper to rectify any deficiencies
- Operates equipment including but not limited to forklifts pallet jacks hand trucks or dollies require to move or reorganize storage
- Responsible to ensure cargo is secured properly and safely with weight evenly distributed for transport
- Drive company vehicle when necessary
- Fills orders and issues materials and supplies per requests documents transactions appropriately prepares requisitions and computes costs keeps records of storeroom inventory
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid drivers licence and clean drivers abstract
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to find information document relevant information and knowledge of computers
- Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
- Ability to lift up to 23kg (50lbs)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid forklift and overhead crane certificates are an asset
- 1-3 years experience in a production environment
The pay range for this role is $20.00/hour to $32.00/hour.
