Job Summary

  • Perform balance-sheet reconciliations and analyses for assigned entities; review and approve reconciliations prepared by direct reports.
  • Manage the annual audit process (local statutory and group) and liaise with external auditors to ensure audits are completed on time and to an acceptable standard.
  • Analyze financial statements and explain variances versus prior periods to management.
  • Coordinate with other finance functions during the monthly close to ensure timelines are met.
  • Execute monthend closing activities including bank and cash reconciliations; timely and accurate posting of journal entries (fixed-asset depreciation intangible-asset amortization prepayments payroll and other adjustments); and intercompany balance reconciliations.
  • Ensure accounting treatments comply with applicable international standards (e.g. IFRS); advise management on best practices for accounting complex transactions.
  • Lead improvements to internal finance processes.
  • Participate in finance process and system improvement projects as the GL representative supporting data cleanup for system uploads balance reclassifications or corrections and user acceptance testing.
  • Manage and develop a team of General Ledger accountants.
  • Define track and report KPIs for the GL function to monitor productivity efficiency quality and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Accountancy Finance or Management Accounting
  • CPA preferred (PH CPA is a strong plus but often optional in BPO/SSC roles)
  • MBA or Masters units in Finance/Accounting nice to have
  • 3 - 5 years total accounting experience
  • 23 years in General Ledger / Record-to-Report (R2R)
  • 13 years leadership or supervisory experience
