QA/QC Supervisor - CWI
Direct Hire Position with Full Benefits
Pay Range: $50-$65/hr.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Plans and conducts the analysis inspection design test and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
- Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Engage with the General Contractors Quality Assurance Manager for inspection planning project compliance non-conformance management quality audits.
- Attend weekly project update meetings with the project group including upcoming activities status and deadlines.
- Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
- Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
- Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
- Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of QA/QC in conjunction with the project team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Control focused on ASME B31 piping codes industrial and commercial construction fabrication welding non-destructive testing and/or other similar fields.
- Current certification in accordance with AWS QC-1 as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
- At least 3 years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
- Proficient understanding of ASME Section IX BP&V Code and experience creating and reviewing welding procedures and welder or brazer qualifications.
- Excellent time management and written and spoken communication skills highly professional organized and trustworthy team player.
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; with 10 years of overall experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screening.
