JOB SUMMARY:
The Solution Based Casework (SBC) Supervisor will be accountable for providing day-to-day support leadership and general supervision to their assigned unit. The SBC Supervisoris responsible formaintainingadherence to the Family Support Solution Based Casework (SBC) Model for their assigned unit.
The Solution Based Casework (SBC) practice model is based on three theoretical foundations: family life cycle theory relapse prevention/CBT theory and solution-focused family with families in each and every case is critical to reducing risks and solutions should utilize prevention skills to achieve those serves familiescity-widethrough this model. The Supervisor will effectively support and supervise a trauma-informed culturally responsive and linguisticallyappropriate community-basedpreventive program that focuses on providing counseling and clinical interventions to at-risk children and families. Supervisors willassistin the overall functioning of the program with the goal of reducing the number of children whoenter intothe foster care system. The most successful candidate will be one who has strong administrative and management skills including strategic planning resource allocation and coordination of government agency requirements. He or she will be organized professional and detail oriented will thrive under pressureand bewilling to work on multiple projects. A commitment to immigrant refugee and low-income communities will also be essential for success in this role.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Supervision
Manage and delegate responsibilities involved in day-to-day SBC program operations to allow for efficient and streamlined programming.
Provide weekly individual supervision to four (4) case planners.
Write-up and upload monthly documentation of supervisory reviews. Ensuretimelyupload of reviews.
Remain up to date on case history and progress of cases to be able to provide adequate supervision on casework practice.
Conduct routine internal reviews of case files to ensure ACS compliance.
In collaboration withDirectorof Training and Developmentas well as Program Director take the lead in ensuring quality onboarding ofnew staff as well as on-going training of all assigned case planners.
Monitor and adjust time sheets as needed.
Practice and encourage office norms (use of calendars checking email etc.).
Submitclosingpackets.
Attend Elevated Risk Conferences (ERCs) and Child Safety Conferences.
Conduct employee three-month evaluations and annual evaluations.
Assign cases to Case Planners using Purchased Preventive Risk Services (PPRS) databases.
Facilitate communication between case planners through one-on-one supervision as well as scheduling and hosting monthly team meetings.
Communicate regularly with staff and troubleshoot issues related to casework with the help of Program Director (when needed).
Review and approve Family Assessment and Service Plan (FASP) and Plan Amendment submissions all supervisory documentation and case consultations.
Collaborate withProgramDirector to ensure that all staff training needs are continually met.
Provide ongoing training and coaching to support effective implementation of the Solution-Based Casework Model& ensuretimelycompletion of certification.
Ensure quality professional development of case planners.
Quality Assurance
Ensure Family Team Conferences (FTCs) are being held within a timely manner (within 4 weeks of FASP due date as well as uploaded using proper coding.
Review and ensure quality of case notes FASP reports etc.
Ensuretimelyuploads of casework contacts notes (within 5 business days) FASP reports etc. All contacts must be added to the Preventive Organization Management Information System (PROMIS) by the 5th of the following month.
Review casework documents (legal documents furniture requests Investigative Consultation (IC) forms etc.).
Collaborate with the Program Director to ensureprogrammeets all city and state funding targets and benchmarks (for instance safety assessments case work contacts family team conferences preventive based funding targets etc.).
Provide assistance toensure thatprogramis in compliance withall case planning and supervisory documentation.
Ensure confidentiality requirements areobservedand practiced.
Attend internal and externaltrainings.
Assistin intakecomponentof the program: Joint Home Visit (JHV) assessing Advocate Preventive Only (ADVPO) cases etc.
Ensure monthly casework contacts are conducted.
Ensure case files are up to date.
Ensure quality casework practice which includes safety and risk assessment of children and families and case progress.
Appropriately follow incident reporting procedures.
Data Evaluation & External Relationships
Ensure data entry meets contractual and AAFSC program requirements.
Practice attention to detail andmaintainresponsibility and dependability in data reporting to external and internal database platforms.
Track and offer suggestions for improvements in key performance indicators for preventive services.
Attend regular meetings andspecial eventsas needed.
Trainings Meetings and Audit Preparation
Attend training provided by ACS Solution Based Casework and other organizations asrequired(minimum of42 hours/6 days each fiscal year) and log training bysubmittingcertificates tothe Director of Training and Development.
Attend internal meetings as scheduled collaborating with the multidisciplinary team (e.g. monthly supervision).
Assistin preparation of internal and external audits (COQI PAMS safety alerts etc.) related to the program operation and delivery of services.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
Participate in AAFSC management meetings.
In the absence of PD take onadditionalresponsibilities as needed.
Conduct home visits as needed.
Participate in interviewsofpotentialnew staff.
Participate in other meetings and conferences as needed.
In the absence of FTC Facilitator this role may cover any FTC dutiesas long asthey are not the same supervisor on the case.
Perform other duties assigned as necessary byDirector.
BACKGROUND & POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Masters Degree in Social Work Psychology or related fieldrequired.
Previous management experience in Preventive Serviceshighlypreferred as well as knowledge of child welfare and ACS mandates.
Ensure ethical casework practice is being done.
Must have experience in using CONNECTIONS PROMIS Data Warehouse and STARS.
Knowledge of the Preventive Measurement Assessment System (PAMS)stronglypreferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in creating implementing and measuring effectiveness of programs preferred.
Bilingual language ability as well as experience working with immigrant refugee and low-income communities is strongly preferred including ArabicSpanish and/or Bengali language skills.
Excellent writing interpersonal and organizational skills are required as well as competency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Flexibility toworkoccasional evenings and weekends to manage crises attend events or meetings.
Job contingent on pre-employment background check and fingerprint clearance.
