As part of a small passionate and accomplished team of experts you will lead a team of software developers to build best-in-class software applications that drive increased efficiency for our engineers within the Blue Engines business unit. You will define coding standard methodologies to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products that ultimately support the development delivery and sustainment of all our engines. You will be the single-threaded-leader in ensuring that the solutions we deliver as a team effectively aligns with the needs of our business customers and business processes.

• You have built strong performing teams of software engineers and building the foundation for an impactful software team is second nature to you
• You instill standard methodologies for software development and documentation assure designs meet requirements and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules
• Collaborate effectively with teams to lead the entire product life cycle from planning to implementation
• You are Customer Focused and thrive in taking abstract or ambiguous requirements and translate them to your team to develop exceptional solutions
• You establish goals and define metrics to find opportunities for continuous improvement
• You encourage others in your servant leadership and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years experience successfully managing software teams
• Proven skill at developing and deploying production systems that can scale rapidly to meet significant demand
• Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals like algorithms and data structures
• Strong experience working in an agile development methodology
• Outstanding project management and organizational skills
• Experience with tools such as GitLab Kubernetes CI/CD Python
• Proficiency with AWS Azure Google Cloud Platform environments

Desired:

• Experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry working with sophisticated systems (PLM ERP MRP systems)
