The primary function of the Employment Coach at Together We Can International Pty Ltd (TWCI) is to case manage coach and support a caseload of NDIS participants towards obtaining ongoing employment. These participants will be of varying demographics. Working in a fast-paced environment with a supportive team you will provide one on one support to your participants and develop individualised action plans to build our participants capacity in a personalized & strategic approach. This is a results-driven role with KPls and specific requirements as outlined below.

Experience working with people with a Disability
Lived experience with Disability or working with vulnerable people
Previous experience supporting young people
Recruitment Employment Service or Human Service experience
First Aid Mental Health Youth work social work or Human Services qualifications or experience
You are a champion for change who strives to achieve better results. With your driven nature you have demonstrated experience in meeting and exceeding performance base targets and are able to work autonomously. You consider your communication and interpersonal skills to be your greatest strengths and have the ability to build effective relationships with participants as well as external organizations. Having prior exposure or lived experience with people with a disability or experience in a similar industry you understand the challenges our participants face when looking for work.
Importantly you have a passion for the sector and relate to our mission and more importantly our values.
KPlS & RESPONSIBILITES
Managing a caseload of 9 Employment Support participants across Adelaide for a min of 6hrs per week each
Develop individualised action plans and outcome-focused goal setting with your caseload
Work through TWCI resources & assessment tools
Run individually tailored sessions with your participants weekly aiming for face-to-face to be the main method of contact
Assist participants with soft skills to prepare for the workforce or investigate suitable study options
Investigate vocational or non-vocational training opportunities
Build rapport with participants to gain trust & progression
Liaise and negotiate with local businesses employers industry and other organizations on behalf of our participants to job carve or effectively refer them to suitable opportunities within your network
Career Counselling & Mentoring
Post-placement support to participants once employment has been sourced
Able to competently liaise with Employment Service providers (in particular DES providers) for dual servicing opportunities & collaboration
Develop a network of employers community organizations or businesses to assist your participants achieve their NDIS employment goals
Effective time management ensuring you are on time & prepared for each session
Shift notes are to be completed after each shift in the requested format (ie flowlogic)
Shift notes are to clearly outline & identify support shown at each appt including any issues barriers strategies and goals set or achieved in each appt- these are legal documents and it is essential that these are actioned and presented professionally
Expos networking & connecting with the Community is an essential part of being successful in this role this includes attending or representing TWCI at any scheduled events & potential good news stories outlining the work or the results you are achieving
New business lead generation is to be a key part of your role when networking to bring new business to the team & Professional & positive representation of the company at all times (inside & outside work) including use of uniform for appointments & networking
Liaising with parents caregivers or support teams effectively
