ROLE SUMMARY:
This Warehouse I position is primarily responsible for receiving storing and distributing material tools equipment and products within establishments by performing the duties detailed below.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sorts and places materials or items on racks shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size type style color or product code.
Reads production schedule pick sheet POS pull sheet shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved gathered or distributed.
Operates standing counterweight forklift to convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Inspects incoming loads for defects damage or other quality concerns.
Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets.
Adheres to FIFO processes for full goods and material movements.
Marks materials with identifying information.
Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
Maintains inventory records.
Uses computer to enter records.
Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
Follows all safety policies/procedures and operates with a safety-first mindset.
Autonomously maintain cleanliness in their designated areas by following Daily Weekly and Monthly MSS and sustaining 5S standards.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High school education or equivalent required
Up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Forklift licensing and/or certification required.
Must be able to regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Ability to autonomously read comprehend and follow instructions correspondence and memos.
Capacity to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.
