Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Arcata CA (Nights)

Schedule:

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week (Three 12-hour Night Shifts)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Critical Care & Life Support: Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation and non-invasive support (BiPAP/CPAP) for adult and pediatric patients in an acute care setting.
Emergency Response: Lead respiratory interventions during rapid responses and codes utilizing advanced certifications (ACLS PALS and NRP) to provide life-saving airway management.
Clinical Diagnostics & Treatment: Administer nebulizer treatments perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws/analysis and conduct patient assessments to adjust therapy according to physician protocols.

Requirements:

License: Active California RT license required.
Certs: Current NRP BLS ACLS and PALS.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of RT experience.
