Job Summary

17 years of industry experience across herbal/AYUSH/nutraceutical R&D including natural product extraction and fractionation bioactivity-guided purification phytochemical characterisation and standardisation new product development technology transfer and pilot-to-commercial scale process optimisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Botanical Extraction & Fractionation
Lead development and optimization of solvent hydroalcoholic supercritical CO2 and green extraction technologies.
Design and execute bioactivity-guided fractionation strategies to isolate active phytoconstituents.

2. Phytochemical Characterisation & Standardisation.
Oversee comprehensive phytochemical profiling using HPLC UPLC LC MS/MS GC-MS FTIR UV-Vis and NMR.
Establish marker-based and bioassay-based standardisation protocols for raw materials intermediates and finished products.

3. Mechanistic Studies & Scientific Validation
Drive bioactivity screening aligned to target health claims (antioxidant anti-inflammatory metabolic neuroprotective etc.).
Correlate phytochemical fractions with biological activity and mechanisms of action.

4. New Product Development (NPD)
Lead ideation and development of novel botanical ingredients and nutraceutical formulations.
Evaluate scientific literature and traditional AYUSH knowledge to identify differentiated product opportunities.

5. Process Development & Scale-Up
Develop scalable robust manufacturing processes with defined control strategies.
Execute pilot-plant trials and optimise parameters for commercial production.

6. Technology Transfer & Manufacturing Support
Prepare detailed technology-transfer packages covering process flow CQAs CPV and CPK.
Act as the technical interface between R&D Manufacturing QA/QC and Regulatory teams.

7. Quality Regulatory & Documentation
Ensure compliance with AYUSH FSSAI US FDA (Dietary Supplements) EU EFSA and global phytochemical standards.
Develop technical dossiers including COAs specifications stability protocols BMRs and validation documents.

8. Team Leadership & Strategic Contributions
Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams of scientists analysts and technicians.
Drive external collaborations with academic institutions CROs and research partners.
