Solicitor
As a Solicitor within the Statutory Accident (SA) and Public Liability (PL) teams you will play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end personal injury matters while contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the practice. Reporting directly to senior leadership this role offers hands-on responsibility client interaction and the opportunity to mentor and guide support staff.
You will be entrusted with complex matters encouraged to apply strategic thinking and supported to deliver strong commercial and client-focused outcomes. This position is ideal for a motivated Solicitor seeking long-term career progression within a respected plaintiff firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters from initial intake through to resolution
- Draft review and file pleadings Statements of Claim and other court documents
- Conduct detailed legal research and provide strategic advice on liability quantum and prospects
- Attend conferences mediations arbitrations and court hearings with clients and barristers
- Negotiate and settle claims in accordance with client instructions and best outcomes
- Maintain consistent clear and empathetic communication with clients
- Deliver a high standard of client service while managing expectations
- Supervise mentor and support junior staff and legal support team members
- Ensure compliance with firm policies procedures and professional standards
- Meet individual KPIs relating to file management client satisfaction and fee budgets
- Maintain CPD compliance and all professional obligations
Experience & Qualifications:
- Admitted as a Solicitor in NSW with a current practising certificate
- 3 5 years post-admission experience in personal injury litigation
- Strong advocacy negotiation and dispute resolution skills
- Demonstrated success in achieving favourable client outcomes
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage files autonomously and meet deadlines
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff
- A collaborative and professional approach aligned with strong ethical values
