Job Summary

Helper

Looking for elevator mechanic helpers. Experience not required but preferred - will train! We are hiring in all departments including modernization new construction inspections and repair/service.

Must be team oriented to work closely with company owners supervisors and mechanics
Self motivated to continually educate oneself to grow professionally within the elevator industry and company
Overtime and weekends not required but willingness is a plus
Must be able to listen to and follow instructions given by mechanic
Must be comfortable using hand and power tools
Must be comfortable working with heights
Must be willing to abide by OSHA NYCDOB company and industry safety standards
OSHA 30 Certificaiton & 40 Hour SST is a must - will pay for class!
Must have NYCDOB Elevator Helper Card or qualify to obtain one - will help apply for the card

Job responsibilities and work locations will vary but all work is done within the five boroughs of NYC Western Long Island Westchester County and some work in Eastern NJ.

General responsibilities include assisting elevator mechanic with various tasks as needed. Must be able to regularly lift and carry over 20lbs and potentially heavier loads (assistance and tools provided when needed). Must be able to walk up and down stairs and stand for long periods.

A path for growth to become an elevator mechanic is available for those who qualify and are interested. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time
