Job Summary

Role - AWS Data Engineer

Location: Chicago IL (Local candidates only)

Overview

One of our most critical roles Data Engineer AWS EMR has been updated to reflect current requirements. We are seeking highly skilled professionals who can drive data engineering initiatives and optimize large-scale data processing on AWS.
Key Updates
AWS Bedrock is no longer mandatory.
Strong expertise in AWS EMR is highly preferred.
Candidates with solid AWS experience who are eager to learn EMR will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Design build and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS EMR.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
Optimize performance of distributed data processing systems.
Ensure data quality reliability and security across workflows.
Support ongoing improvements in architecture and automation.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Data Engineer with AWS services.
Hands-on expertise in AWS EMR or willingness to quickly upskill.
Strong knowledge of data modeling ETL processes and distributed computing.
Proficiency in SQL Python or Scala for data processing.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
