This on-site contract position is based in Scranton and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our dedicated team in the Medical Practice industry.
As a Locum Radiologist you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct radiological examinations and interpret imaging results
- Provide accurate diagnoses and recommendations based on imaging studies
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain detailed and organized patient records
- Stay updated with advancements in radiology and imaging technology
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor and support junior staff as needed
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Board certification in Radiology
- Associate-level experience in a clinical radiology setting
- Strong understanding of radiological procedures and imaging techniques
- Excellent diagnostic skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Current state medical license to practice in Pennsylvania
Schedule: 10-hour shifts 4 days per week
No call requirement
Imaging Technology: 3D HD mammography diagnostic imaging upright tomographic ultrasound MRI-guided biopsies and contrast-enhanced mammography
Support Staff: Radiologists pathologists surgeons psychologists geneticists and nurse navigators
Team Structure: 15 breast imaging radiologists
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
