We are seeking expressions of interest from candidates to join our Temp Pool for temporary Student Support roles across the University.
Assignments may range from 4 weeks to several months full-time and part-time hours depending on the nature of the request.
Key Responsibilities may include:
- Responding to queries from students and staff both internally and externally
- Providing accurate course information and advice including programme requirements and enrolment options
- Supporting postgraduate and international students
- Assisting with scholarships and grants processes
- Providing wellbeing pastoral care and learning support
- Helping identify students at risk and high-achieving students
- Assisting with student enrolments and visa enquiries
- Creating implementing and reviewing student support plans
- Handling complaints and referrals confidentially and appropriately
- Supporting student recruitment activities (e.g. expos and events)
- Providing administrative support to Student Support teams
Salary Range: $55300 $88900 per annum (pro-rated for part-time) depending on the role.

Our ideal candidate understands what students need and can confidently connect them with the right resources. We are looking for someone who is:
- Adaptable confident friendly and engaging
- Experienced in delivering academic and pastoral support
- Skilled in environments requiring high levels of customer service
- Knowledgeable about equity issues in New Zealand
- Experienced with systems such as Moodle SSO student enquiry systems CRM; timetabling experience is a plus
- Strong in problem-solving and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent in written and verbal communication
- Able to provide accurate course advice and interpret academic regulations
- Committed to confidentiality and ethical standards
- Comfortable with in-person and virtual meetings
While a degree is not essential it can help with understanding the university environment.

- An interview
- Online testing (Word Excel Outlook)
- Successful reference checks (ideally your last 23 reporting managers)
