Principal Platform Engineer – Agentic AI Platform Copperleaf

As part of the IFS Copperleaf R&D we are building a next-generation Agentic AI Platform - an intelligent foundation that enables reasoning orchestration and automation across enterprise services. The Principal Platform Engineer will lead the modernization and evolution of our cloud infrastructure CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments in an Azure cloud-native infrastructure. This role establishes the technical backbone upon which our AI platform operates.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Azure infrastructure using Terraform Bicep and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Own CI/CD strategy and automation pipelines (Azure DevOps) for multi-environment deployments.
• Drive modernization of existing systems to cloud-native microservice architectures.
• Apply cloud-native observability frameworks including logging metrics and alerting (Azure Monitor Prometheus Grafana).
• Collaborate across engineering teams to establish secure automated deployment standards.
• Implement infrastructure governance security policies and cost optimization best practices.
• Enable platform scalability to support LLM-based agents orchestration services and future AI workloads.
• Mentor DevOps and software engineers promoting infrastructure-as-code and DevOps maturity across teams.

Qualifications :

• 5 years of experience in DevOps Platform or Cloud Engineering with a focus on Azure.
• Proficiency in Terraform Bicep Kubernetes and Azure DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of containerization service mesh (Istio/Linkerd) and infrastructure security.
• Experience automating builds releases and deployments for microservices and AI workloads.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD-as-code patterns and GitOps principles.
• Familiarity with AI/MLOps pipelines or distributed service orchestration is an asset.
• Excellent communication documentation and mentoring skills.
