What you will be doing
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to support in leading the engineering function across this complex luxury hotel. This role combines hands-on operational leadership with project refurbishment and asset lifecycle management.
- Lead the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations ensuring safety compliance and uptime
- Support the Chief Engineer in managing preventative maintenance programs and statutory compliance
- Plan and deliver projects upgrades and asset refurbishment programs across rooms public areas and back-of-house
- Coordinate and manage external contractors and suppliers to ensure quality cost and timelines are controlled
- Drive asset condition reporting capital planning and lifecycle management
- Oversee work orders maintenance systems and reporting
- Support energy management sustainability and efficiency initiatives
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on support to the engineering team
- Respond to guest and operational issues with urgency professionalism and practical solutions
Qualifications :
What you will bring
- Demonstrated experience in hotel resort or large commercial building engineering
- Proven experience delivering projects refurbishments and asset upgrades
- Strong knowledge of building services plant fire systems and compliance requirements
- Experience managing contractors budgets and maintenance schedules
- A calm solutions-focused leadership style with high safety and quality standards
- Strong organisational reporting and planning capability
- Confidence working in a 24/7 operational environment
- Trade or technical qualification in Electrical Mechanical HVAC Building Services or similar highly regarded
