Your new role as an AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) will see you deliver quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard while ensuring all WHS and Quality policies and procedures are adhered to. This role will see you working with a range of specialist teams enabling you to provide excellent engineering standards on a solid foundation of safety quality reliability and service.

Reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager some of the key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Carry out maintenance on company aircraft
  • Ensure timely and correct completion of all work carried out
  • Quality Control for aircraft presentation - upon completion of maintenance and prior to release
  • Delivering quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard Ensuring all WHS and Quality policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Comply with Jetstars Safety Management System
  • Required to work at other ports (including international locations) as required
  • Comply with all Jetstar training and compliance requirements
  • Build and maintain a good working relationship with contractors and outside service providers

Were on the hunt for someone who:

  • Has completed Certificate IV in Aeroskills (AU or NZ equivalent) with previous A320/321 experience desirable
  • Has excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and others
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Has experience in Line Maintenance
  • Has a proven commitment to quality safety and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Has proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle competing demands particularly when under pressure and/or managing multiple stakeholders; and
  • Holds a valid driving licence and ability to obtain an Airside Drivers License 
  • Willing and able to hold a Qantas Group-issued ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) including a full international criminal clearance
  • Willing and able to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Medical test prior to commencement
