Whats the role

Play a pivotal role in Retail Banking transformation by joining the Retail Banking UNITE Portfolio as a Change Director. This opportunity offers a unique chance to lead change across all programs within the portfolio driving large-scale transformation and making a tangible impact on our business and customers.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Scope & Change Definition: Define and assess change initiatives across the Retail Banking UNITE Portfolio ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Change Delivery & Design: Oversee delivery of multiple change plans on time and within budget; design solutions that minimise impact and drive adoption.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead communication strategies clarify roles and maintain senior stakeholder commitment.
  • Change Adoption: Support stakeholders through coaching and influence to embed change and ensure sustainability.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage people operational and organisational risks within agreed frameworks.
  • Reporting: Provide clear updates on progress budgets risks and resources.
  • Resource & Capability: Secure resources build capability and coach teams for delivery and development needs.

What do I need

  • Proven experience leading complex change programs in large-scale transformation projects ideally across multiple business units brands divisions and teams (typically >$10m).
  • Demonstrated expertise in both line and matrix management of specialist change teams and support staff.
  • Extensive experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry is essential preferably within retail banking.
  • Exceptional people management skills with a superior track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Significant experience in financial services or a similar highly regulated industry is essential.
  • Excellent stakeholder management communication and influencing abilities at all organisational levels.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
