OCU Group is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the team based in Stockport with some Hybrid working available.
The Operations Supports Business Analyst will support business improvement and digital enablement initiatives across the OCU Connect business. The role will work closely with operational commercial and support teams to help improve how work is planned delivered and managed through better processes data and digital tools.
This role will assist with coordinating small improvement projects understanding business processes gathering requirements and supporting the development and adoption of Microsoft 365 and Power Platform solutions. It is well suited to a proactive individual who enjoys problem-solving working with stakeholders and developing practical solutions that make day-to-day work easier and more efficient.
Your day to day responsibilities will include -
Problem solving: Identify key business issues perform root-cause analysis and develop and complete an improvement plan to resolve.
Project & Improvement Support: Support the coordination of small projects and business improvement initiatives across OCU Connect maintaining simple project plans action trackers timelines and status updates to help keep delivery on track.
Project Administration: Schedule meetings capture updates and follow up with stakeholders to ensure agreed actions are completed in a timely manner.
Operational Support: Support delivery teams by helping to organise improvement activity and maintain momentum across ongoing initiatives.
Process Understanding & Requirements Gathering: Work with operational and support teams to understand current processes and document how activities are carried out across the business.
Reporting Support: Own and manage the weekly PULSE monthly reporting and board pack. Administer the collation and presentation of the data.
Digital Tools & Power Platform Support: Support the development and maintenance of simple digital solutions using Microsoft 365 tools including SharePoint Excel Power Automate and Power Apps.
Testing & Deployment Support: Assist with testing new workflows forms apps dashboards or automations prior to release and wider adoption.
Documentation Management: Support the organisation and maintenance of system and procedural documentation.
Automation Awareness: Demonstrate an active interest in how digital tools and automation can reduce manual effort improve consistency and support operational efficiency.
User Enablement: Provide basic support to colleagues adopting new systems or ways of working.
Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks related to Operations Support function as required.
To be successful in this role you will need to be able to show -
Good communication skills comfortable working with a variety of people.
Organised reliable and an ability to take ownership of tasks and follow them through
Curious mindset: enjoys understanding how things work and how processes could improve.
Experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques (e.g. Ishikawa Pareto 5 whys etc).
Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 (Outlook Teams SharePoint Excel).
Keen interest in learning automation or digital tools (Power Automate/Power Apps).
Experience in project coordination business analysis or digital transformation (desirable).
Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform.
