Software Manager – Production Engineering & Technology, Axis Communications

Are you an experienced leader with a strong background in software development and product-oriented engineering Do you thrive in a technical environment where innovation collaboration and continuous improvement are key At Axis we develop and manufacture world-leading network video products with the ambition to innovate for a smarter safer world and we are now looking for a Software Manager to join our management team within Production Engineering & Technology (PET) at our headquarters in Lund.

Your role and impact

This role is first and foremost about leadership in an environment where both technology and ways of working continuously evolve.

You bring a solid background in software development which lends you credibility and a deep understanding of the domain. But it is your ability to lead support and develop people that will define your success in this role.

As Software Manager within Production Engineering & Technology (PET) you will lead a group of 12 software engineers working with production-critical systems and machine-controlling software.

You will:

• Lead through trust communication and presence

• Create clarity and direction in a complex technical environment

• Drive continuous improvement in ways of working including agile and DevOps practices

• Build strong collaboration across software hardware QA and production

• Balance long-term development with day-to-day operational stability

• As part of the PET management team you will actively contribute to shaping how Axis develops and operates its production software landscape.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a communicative leader with proven experience in leading software teams through change.

You likely have:

• Proven experience as a people manager in software development preferably in a product development environment

• Documented success in leading teams through change or transformation

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust at all levels

• Experience working with software that interacts with hardware or embedded systems

You are fluent in Swedish and English.
