The Operational Readiness Manager is responsible for leading and delivering Operational Readiness and Transition (ORAT) activities to ensure that new or transformed assets can operate safely effectively and as intended from day one.
The role works closely with programme project design construction and commissioning teams to align delivery with operational requirements bridging the gap between construction completion and live operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of Operational Readiness and Transition activities across assigned projects or workstreams.
- Develop and implement operational readiness plans transition strategies and go-live approaches.
- Ensure alignment between design construction commissioning and operational requirements.
- Coordinate readiness activities across clinical operational workforce and support functions.
- Identify assess and manage operational readiness risks issues and dependencies.
- Support the development and implementation of operating models workflows and service transition plans.
- Work closely with planning and project controls teams to ensure programmes support commissioning training and transition activities.
- Support workforce readiness through coordination of training mobilisation and change activities.
- Monitor readiness progress and report status risks and mitigations to stakeholders.
- Support commissioning handover and transition to operations ensuring continuity of service.
- Embed lessons learned and continuous improvement across readiness and transition activities.
Qualifications :
- Experience delivering Operational Readiness activities within complex projects or programmes.
- Background in operational delivery facilities healthcare infrastructure or similar environments.
- Experience working alongside project management planning and construction teams.
- Understanding of commissioning handover and transition processes.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in complex delivery environments.
- Strong coordination and delivery skills.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement capability.
- Comfortable working in complex fast-paced programme environments.
