Surgical Technologist Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Location: Hyannis MA
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Full-Time 40 Hours per Week

7:00 AM 3:30 PM
9:00 AM 5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $65 $70 per hour
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seekingSurgical Technologist Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)for an exciting job in Hyannis MA.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of the surgical environment infection control and sterile techniques
Prepare the operating room with appropriate instruments equipment sterile drapes and solutions
Maintain a sterile field in compliance with hospital policy and AORN Standards of Care
Perform scrub technician duties across surgical services and specialties
Assemble inspect and adjust sterile and non-sterile equipment to ensure proper functionality
Pass instruments and sterile supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants during procedures
Assist with retraction suturing sponge/needle/instrument counts and specimen handling
Prepare label and handle specimens for laboratory analysis
Assist with application of surgical dressings
Ensure availability of procedure-specific instrumentation and equipment per preference cards
Assist with patient transport positioning and transfer to recovery areas
Operate surgical equipment including lights suction and diagnostic tools as needed
Understand and apply proper sterilization techniques for specialized equipment
Assist with operating room turnover and restocking between cases
Support patient safety privacy dignity and comfort at all times
Participate in staff meetings in-service training and professional development activities
Assist with orientation and training of new operating room staff when required
Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain and update specialty equipment and instrumentation
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
Graduate of an accredited civilian or military Surgical Technology / Operating Room Technician program
Current certification from an entity accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA)
Certification must be maintained throughout the assignment
Current BLS Certification required
