Job Summary
Radiologic Technologist Diagnostic (X-Ray)
Location: Syracuse NY 13215
Employment Type: Contract 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $55.00 $65.00 per hour
Schedule Details
Shift: Mid-Shift 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
Schedule: 5 days per week 8-hour shifts
Hours: 40 hours per week
Additional Requirements: Rotating weekends and holidays as needed; possible on-call coverage
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiologic Technologist Diagnostic (X-Ray) for a 13-week contract assignment in Syracuse NY. This role involves performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in a community-based healthcare environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical proficiency while maintaining a compassionate patient-first approach to care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Imaging
Perform a broad range of diagnostic radiographic examinations with accuracy and efficiency
Ensure proper patient positioning and appropriate exposure techniques
Patient Care
Greet and prepare patients for imaging procedures
Clearly explain examination processes to reduce anxiety and ensure comfort
Radiation Safety
Adhere strictly to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles
Maintain a safe environment for patients staff and visitors
Equipment & Operations
Operate diagnostic imaging equipment effectively
Identify and promptly report equipment issues or malfunctions
Documentation & Systems
Accurately process images and enter required information into the Radiology Information System (RIS)
Ensure documentation supports clinical operational and billing requirements
Compliance
Follow all departmental policies procedures and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications
Education: Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent accredited program
Licensure: Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (required)
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of professional experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Technical Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic imaging equipment and RIS platforms
