X-Ray Technologist (Radiology/Cardiology)

Position Summary
The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic examinations under the direction of radiologists. This role requires strong technical proficiency patient communication skills and strict adherence to radiation safety standards to ensure high-quality imaging and patient care.
Qualifications
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
Active New York State license/registration
Minimum one (1) year experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance
Key Responsibilities
Perform radiographic examinations as ordered by physicians and radiologists
Greet patients and explain procedures clearly and professionally
Properly position patients and select appropriate exposure factors
Ensure adherence to radiation safety and protection protocols
Operate imaging equipment efficiently and effectively
Identify and report equipment malfunctions to supervisor
Process radiographic images and maintain quality standards
Enter accurate data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) for documentation and billing
Follow department procedures and protocols as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual
Deliver imaging services based on referring physician and radiologist needs
