Were looking for a Test Automation Engineer who can blend sharp coding skills with strategic testing expertise. If you enjoy building smarter automation expanding frameworks and taking ownership without leaning on senior team members youll feel right at home.

What Youll Do

Offer guidance technical support and mentorship to junior team members
Investigate production issues and pinpoint the source of defects
Understand business requirements and functional specs for systems under test
Keep a close eye on test environments to support continuous testing
Assist DevOps with requirements and setup for test environments
Build or update automated tests within the existing automation framework
Extend test frameworks with new classes components pages and services
Write advanced SQL queries and stored procedures to support automation
Document and track defects using appropriate tools
Create test packs and define detailed testing procedures
Execute automated test suites analyse results and share feedback with stakeholders
Take accountability for delivering high-quality work and completing assigned tasks

What You Bring

BSc in Computer Science Electronic Engineering BIS or a high-quality Technikon Diploma
3 years solid experience in Software Test Automation
Strong working knowledge of MS SQL C# HTML JavaScript and CSS
Experience with runtimes/frameworks such as Node ES6 Jasmine Portman and Playwright
Familiarity with tools like Postman K6 JMeter and Provar
Salesforce certifications would be a great advantage

Technical Strengths

Troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes
Understand business and system requirements to ensure thorough test coverage
Log track and document defects using appropriate tools
Create test packs and define clear testing procedures
Execute automated tests review outcomes and communicate results effectively
Write SQL queries and develop advanced SQL scripts/stored procedures to support automation
Build and update automated tests within the framework
Extend test suites with new classes components pages and supporting functions
Monitor and maintain test environments for continuous testing
Work closely with DevOps to configure and prepare required testing environments
