Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: Brooklyn NY
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Varied 3 shifts/week (7.5 hours per shift)
Weekly Gross Pay: $1919
Position Overview
A healthcare organization is seeking a CT Technologist to support diagnostic imaging services in a fast-paced radiology department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise patient care skills and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure high-quality diagnostic images
Conduct daily quality control and calibration checks to verify equipment functionality prior to patient studies
Administer contrast and radiopharmaceuticals according to physician orders and established protocols
Maintain accurate documentation including logs manuals charge forms and incident reports in compliance with regulatory standards
Perform quality control quality assurance and safety testing in accordance with departmental policies
Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles
Maintain retrieve and manage patient imaging data for radiologist interpretation
Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses in advance of scheduled procedures
Verify receipt dosage and activity levels of radiopharmaceuticals prior to administration
Exercise clinical judgment to assess and respond to patient needs before during and after imaging procedures
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Ability to perform CT procedures following established imaging protocols
Strong patient assessment communication and critical-thinking skills
