Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. Network Operations is seeking a Manager Operational Technology; this position will be responsible for leading aspects of technology road-mapping development and implementation of plans and strategies to maximize funding opportunities and related value of Operational Data and Technology while minimizing risk to Metrolinx.

What will I be doing

Lead or provide support to Business Plans RFP or Capital activities surrounding Operational Technology.
Lead the harmonization and standardization of various policies processes and business requirements within Operations related to Operational Technology and ensure alignment with I&IT and other policies processes standards and best practices concerning contract administration and commercial interests.
Guide the development and maintenance of working relationships across the organization with all teams to continually understand define and refine Operational.
Strong communication presentation and interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate and drive consensus across all levels and departments within the organization.
Create an environment of continuous improvement opens channels of communication that invite suggestions and innovative thinking and proactively seeks best practice ideas.
Assist in the development and implementation of best practices and lessons learned from internal sources and extensive personal professional experience. Monitor performance through the development of and tracking of appropriate metrics.
Define and develop an effective organizational structure and staff complement for delivery of the mandate while planning for future development and availability of resources through effective strategies such as succession planning

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need

Completion of a degree in Computer Science and/or Business Administration or a related discipline or a combination of education training and experience deemed equivalent.
Demonstrated years professional experience by leading cross-functional programs or projects business process improvements contract management and preferably in the transport or construction industry and / or the public sector.
