Teppanyaki Chef
We are seeking a skilled Teppanyaki Chef with strong live-cooking expertise and excellent guest interaction skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality Japanese teppanyaki dishes performing engaging table-side cooking maintaining strict hygiene standards and delivering a memorable dining experience through precision presentation and showmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Execute refined teppanyaki cuisine with precision consistency and exceptional presentation in line with five-star standards
Deliver engaging elegant live-cooking performances that enhance the guest dining experience while upholding professional etiquette
Maintain uncompromising standards of food safety hygiene and sanitation in accordance with hotel and regulatory requirements
Ensure flawless mise en place equipment readiness and smooth service flow at all times
Monitor quality portion control and ingredient utilization to minimize waste and uphold cost controls
Maintain teppanyaki grills and equipment to the highest safety and operational standards
Collaborate seamlessly with the culinary and service teams to ensure excellence in guest satisfaction
Adhere strictly to The Kingsbury Hotels culinary standards brand values and operational policies
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar role at a star-class hotel
Overseas experience in a comparable position within a star-class hotel will be a distinct advantage
Ability to work flexible hours based on operational requirements
Possess a pleasant well-groomed and outgoing personality suitable for a guest-facing role
Sound knowledge of food safety regulations hygiene standards and kitchen best practices
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively both internally and externally
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining accuracy and consistency in a fast-paced environment
