Position Purpose:
We are looking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager who possesses the skills required to bring on new clientele. The ideal candidate must have confidence and experience to conduct meetings with US potential customers as well as should possess consultative selling skills to engage potential customers in accordance to their needs and how our services can provide a solution for them. They will be responsible for generating leads through Linkedin Upwork and email outreach.

Education & Professional Qualification:

  • Degree(s)/Major(s): Bachelors in Computer Science Software Engineering or IT.
  • Certification(s): Not mandatory but certification in a relevant field is a plus.

Experience:

36 years of experience in client coordination or business development preferably within a software development or IT services environment with proven experience in managing and leading a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with potential clients (leads Upwork inquiries or existing network) to understand their needs and offer tailored service proposals.
  • Manage pre-locking communications calls requirement discussions cost finalization and scope negotiation.
  • Strategically maneuver clients toward closure by building trust addressing concerns and demonstrating service capability.
  • Maintain follow-up with leads until closure and ensure proper project documentation.
  • Collaborate with technical and design teams to prepare proposals project estimations and timelines.
  • Translate client requirements into clear technical scopes and deliverables.
  • Ensure timely submission of proposals presentations and supporting documents.
  • Participate in client demos presentations and initial technical discussions when required.
  • Coordinate between clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution requirement clarity and timely delivery.
  • Track milestones manage client updates and ensure alignment with agreed scope and timelines..
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends competitive landscape and emerging technologies.
  • Lead technical discussions and support the sales process from proposal to deal closure.
  • Track and report on sales metrics forecasts and pipeline management to senior leadership
  • Support mentor and manage a team to ensure alignment with company goals and project objectives fostering professional growth and development.
  • Identify recurring client demands and suggest improvements in offerings or processes

Requirements:

  • Strong track record of generating business through online platforms such as Upwork Fiverr Freelancer etc.
  • Proven track record of client locking and handling direct Upwork clients (without relying on general bidding).
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and solution architecture to effectively communicate solutions to clients.
  • Familiarity with modern tech stacks such as MERN Laravel and mobile frameworks to engage in consultative discussions with prospective customers.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices cloud infrastructure (AWS Azure GCP) and AI-based solutions to provide tailored business solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge technical and business discussions effectively.
  • Prior exposure to Artificial Intelligence projects either as a project coordinator or in a client-facing/business development role is preferred.
  • Ability to identify leads reach decision-makers and screen potential opportunities effectively.
  • Experience in analyzing client requirements providing accurate estimates and managing client communications.
  • Excellent research prospecting and sales planning abilities; keeping up with market trends and best practices.
  • Proficiency in documentation proposal writing and maintaining accuracy and consistency in business development activities.
  • Exceptional communication time management and multitasking skills; superior writing editing and proofreading abilities.
  • Attention to detail in proposal writing drafting business proposals and all aspects of business development.
