JOB DESCRIPTION:
Estimating Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Estimators with various tasks related to projects bidding and is the primary point of contact for vendor and subcontractor correspondence within the Estimation Department. Estimating Coordinator reports directly to the Estimating Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Pipeline Suite bid solicitation software
Establish rapport and maintain relationships with equipment/material vendors and subcontractors to facilitate solicitation of bids
Manage SharePoint bid calendar in close coordination with Estimating Manager
Manage online plan rooms for obtaining project documents and submitting responses to general contractor invitations to bid (ITB)
o Download print and manage project plans specifications etc.
o Check for addenda clarifications and project updates daily
Organize and manage project bid folders including filing of vendor/sub quotations
Create update and maintain prequalification and proposal submission documents as required
Submit proposals at the direction of the Estimating Manager
Assist estimators with submission of RFIs
Other duties as assigned by management
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Organization and time management skills are critical - multiple projects will be assigned at the same time; must prioritize tasks
Communication skills -ability to develop strong working relationships with suppliers/vendors subcontractors general contractors and project management staff
Strong PC skills - Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/Project
Strong attention to detail
Construction industry experience a plus
Ability to understand/analyze project plans/specifications a strong plus
