What Youll Do:


We have an opportunity for a highly skilled former P-8A or EP-3 Naval Flight Officer (NFO) to provide subject matter expertise in support of NAVAIRs Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft Program Office PMA-290. This position will be based at NAS Patuxent River MD.

Key responsibilities as an NFO supporting the Increment 3 (Inc3) program:

  • Advise PMA-290 leadership on the integration and testing of Inc3 combat systemsincluding mission systems sensors environmental systems and mission planning tools.
  • Apply expert knowledge of current Inc3 capabilities including Minotaur mission software.
  • Operate P-8A Inc3 systems in lab environments to support system integration and testing goals.
  • Analyze and report on combat system performance providing written and verbal briefings as needed.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance P-8A Inc3 performance across key mission areas: ASW ASuW Carrier Strike Group (CSG) support and ISR.
  • Support the development and delivery of training materials potentially including instruction for Integrated Test Teams (ITT).
  • This position will require occasional travel.

What Youll Bring:


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and at least 6 years of operational experience as a P-8A or EP-3 NFO.
  • Strong understanding of maritime patrol mission systems including recent software and hardware updates.
  • Ability to analyze complex systems solve problems and develop actionable recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with engineering software tools and/or systems integration testing.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range:

  • The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $120000-$145000 commensurate with an individuals experience qualifications and skill set. ASEC is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation.
