Job Summary
Job Description:
An Engineer Site HEMM (Heavy Earth Moving Machinery) role involvessupervising maintaining and repairing large mining equipment (excavators loaders dumpers)to ensure maximum uptime and production focusing on mechanical/hydraulic systems planning maintenance schedules managing teams and ensuring strict safety/quality compliance at the mine site. Key duties include troubleshooting breakdowns preventive care spare parts management and coordinating with operators for optimal machinery performance in tough mining conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repair:Diagnose repair and overhaul HEMM (engines hydraulics powertrains electrical systems).
- Planning & Scheduling:Develop and implement daily/weekly maintenance plans ensuring resources (spares tools manpower) are available.
- Team Leadership:Guide and supervise maintenance technicians fostering a strong safety culture.
- Operational Support:Conduct routine inspections report faults and ensure equipment meets performance standards.
- Safety & Compliance:Enforce Health Safety Environment and Quality (HSEQ) procedures.
- Reporting:Generate reports on maintenance activities breakdowns and equipment status.
Typical Qualifications:
- Education:Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
- Experience:Several years in heavy machinery maintenance ideally with brands likeCATERPILLARKOMATSUVOLVO.
- Skills:Strong troubleshooting leadership analytical and communication skills.
Environment:
- Strictly anon-site field-based rolein mining/quarry environments requiring flexibility and problem-solving.
