This seasonal position will assist fisheries managers and biologists with management and research activities on Missouri River reservoirs. Assist in fish spawning and stocking operations; fish population sampling using gill nets trap nets seines and electrofishing; and angler use and harvest surveys. Assist with data entry and equipment maintenance.
Essential requirements : Valid drivers license the ability to perform strenuous physical labor and the ability to work nights and weekends. Ability to communicate effectively with the public.
Beneficial Experience: Operation and maintenance of boats motors and trailers basic vehicle and equipment maintenance knowledge of fisheries management principles and techniques fish identification and basic computer operation.
Please note this is a temporary or seasonal non-benefited position exempt from civil service.
