Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in St Austell Cornwall. As a Care Assistant you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing personalized care and support in their homes.
- Assist clients with daily living activities including personal care mobility and medication management
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Prepare nutritious meals and help with light housekeeping tasks
- Accompany clients to appointments shopping trips or social outings
- Monitor and report changes in clients health or behaviour to supervisors
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and client progress
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
- Adhere to all safety protocols and organizational policies
- Respond promptly to client needs and emergencies as they arise
Qualifications :
- Passion for supporting and caring for others
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Reliability trustworthiness and respect for client privacy
- Physical stamina to assist with mobility and daily living activities
- Patience empathy and understanding when working with clients
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt to clients individual needs
- Valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation
