THE POSITIONS
Under general supervision ensures the safety of patrons of aquatic facilities by preventing and responding to emergencies. Provide courteous and expeditious customer service to the general public and City department staff. Supervise swimming activities in and around City facilities. Rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning; administers first aid in the event of injury.
Assists in cleaning the pool related facilities and equipment. May instruct classes in the fundamentals of swimming. Routinely adheres to and maintains a positive attitude towards the City and Department goals and performs other related work as required.
