Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiothoracic in Toledo OH

This position offers a unique opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner specializing in cardiothoracic surgery to provide essential care in a multifaceted environment. The facility features advanced surgical services and is recognized as a Level 1 trauma center.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide care in office hours inpatient post-operative floor and ICU.
Conduct patient evaluations and pre-op physical exams.
Diagnose and treat illnesses order and interpret tests and write prescriptions.
Perform suture removals and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
Participate in rounding managing an average of 12 patients per day.
Availability for call duty 10 days/month with a call ratio of 1:3.
Utilize the EPIC documentation system effectively.
Work autonomously supported by a supervising physician available 24/7 by phone.

Qualifications:

Current certifications from ANCC or AANP (required).
Active nursing license in Ohio (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (required).
Relevant training and experience in cardiothoracic surgery (required).
Clean background check with no exceptions (required).

License and Certification Requirements:

ANCC or AANP certification.
Active Ohio Nurse Practitioner License.
BLS and ACLS certifications.
