Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiothoracic in Toledo OH

This position offers a unique opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner specializing in cardiothoracic surgery to provide essential care in a multifaceted environment. The facility features advanced surgical services and is recognized as a Level 1 trauma center.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide care in office hours inpatient post-operative floor and ICU.
- Conduct patient evaluations and pre-op physical exams.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses order and interpret tests and write prescriptions.
- Perform suture removals and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in rounding managing an average of 12 patients per day.
- Availability for call duty 10 days/month with a call ratio of 1:3.
- Utilize the EPIC documentation system effectively.
- Work autonomously supported by a supervising physician available 24/7 by phone.
Qualifications:
- Current certifications from ANCC or AANP (required).
- Active nursing license in Ohio (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (required).
- Relevant training and experience in cardiothoracic surgery (required).
- Clean background check with no exceptions (required).
License and Certification Requirements:
- ANCC or AANP certification.
- Active Ohio Nurse Practitioner License.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
